Asphalt Manufacture and Installation
Asphalt (aka ‘Hot Mix’) has a proven track record as a Durable, Cost Effective and Aesthetically Pleasing surfacing option for Commercial and Retail Car Parks, Residential Driveways and Verges, Footpaths, Walking/Bicycle Trails and Sporting Courts – With the option of Installing anywhere between 25mm and 150mm deep It can also hold its own in heavy use situations such as Roadways, Housing Estates and Industrial sites. Our Mobile Drum Mix Asphalt Plant has a Manufacturing Capability of 250 Tonnes Per Day and can be mobilised to your location for large remote projects.
Spray Seal – New Work
Spray Sealing is the surfacing treatment commonly used in rural and remote areas and is the most economical type of surfacing for the rural road network. While it’s not recommended for small car parks and urban driveways it is extensively used for the surfacing of rural council roads and highways, large rural housing developments and Airstrips. Our highly trained and experienced Spray Seal Crew have the capacity to perform both Single and Multiple Layer Seals of up to 8000 square metres per day.
Spray Seal – Re-seals
Spray Sealed Bitumen Roadways have an average lifespan of approximately 13 years, after which time it is recommended that they are resealed in order to ensure the extended life of the road and the safety of the road users. We specialise in Local Government Road Reseal Programmes and can provide both single and double layer reseals using either standard or polymer modified bitumen, depending on the rejuvenation requirements of your road network.
Bitumen Repairs and Re-Instatement
We have a dedicated crew available for the patching of potholes for both Local Government and Private Enterprise. We also conduct reinstatements on a variety of trench needs for essential services such as CWMS, NBN, SA Water & SA Power Networks and can cut out and replace sections of damaged Asphalt in Car Parks, Driveways etc
Road Sweeping
West Coast Bitumen has a fleet of 2 Road Sweepers available for hire as a complete Driver/Vehicle package or as a Dry Hire arrangement. Our drivers have over 20 years experience in Road Sweeping Operations and are both highly competent and thorough in their work.
Profiling
While Excavations and Base Preparation is not our forte, the recent purchase of a Kubota Skid Steer Loader with Profiling attachment means we now have the ability to perform minor base prep services and the profiling of damaged bitumen surfaces in readiness for asphalt rejuvenation.
